Every US Model 3 now gets a larger centre display. The Performance gains range and power, the Premium AWD gets quicker, and none of the prices move.

Tesla updated the US Model 3 on October 1. It added value rather than cutting price, which has been Tesla's pattern through 2026.

- Model 3 Performance: 316 mi EPA (from 309), peak power listed at 528 hp (from 510), 0–60 unchanged at 2.9 s, and a black headliner.
- Premium AWD: 0–60 improves to 3.8 s (from 4.2), with 346 mi of range.

A safety footnote
Also on October 1, Tesla added an emergency ability to drive away while still plugged in, prompted by a deadly shooting at a Supercharger.
The bigger picture
Tesla raised some Model Y prices in May and Cybertruck prices by $5,000 in August. After two years of discounting, 2026 has been about holding or raising prices and adding features. That should start to show up in automotive margins in the October 21 earnings.
